Excursion 1

Woolacombe is a seaside resort on the coast of North Devon. The beach is 3 miles long, sandy, gently sloping and faces the Atlantic Ocean near the western limit of the Bristol Channel. Braunton is situated right at the centre of the north Devon areas of outstanding natural beauty and incorporates Braunton Burrows, the largest sand dune system in England. It is said to be the largest village in England.

Excursion 2

Woody Bay Station is an original Lynton & Barnstaple Railway station, opened in 1898, and closed along with the rest of the railway in September 1935. The ideal starting point for a two mile round trip through some of the loveliest countryside in North Devon, Woody Bay Station is the place to board Lynton & Barnstaple's little narrow gauge train for a journey back in time.

Bideford is a historic harbour that is packed with the best pubs, music and restaurants to satsify all needs. You'll also find that Bideford is the perfect spot for retail therapy with all the independent shops they have there. As the UK's only remaining glass factory a visit to Dartington Crystal is a unique and fascinating experience. Discover the exhibition centre and watch their skilled glass makers in action on the factory floor. There's also factory shopping and the relaxing cafe and restaurant so there really is something for everyone here.
