Salzburg, the Austrian Lakes and Sound of Music

Oberammergau is in the Bavarian Alps, close to Germany's border with Austria. Nestled in the lush valley of the River Ammer, here you will find strong Bavarian traditions complete with painted houses, woodcarving workshops and wonderful views onto the surrounding Alps. Following your two night stay in the Oberammergau area travel on to the Austrian Lakes. This is the true Sound of Music country. Our base is in the dramatic fjord-like scenery around Traunsee. This gives way to the rolling meadows around Mondsee, which in turn lead to Salzburg, one of Europe's great cultural cities. Alpine peaks, lush pastures, sparkling lakes and World Class heritage site...this holiday has it all.
